TripAdvisor Lists World's Top Ten Magnificent Castle Hotels

(RTTNews) - Travel site major TripAdvisor named top ten historic and magnificent castle hotels in the World. The rating is based on traveler's review.

Fonab Castle Hotel in Scotland has received more than 700 reviews is on top of the list. The 26 room castle is located on the Loch Faskally banks. Castle Hotel Auf Shoenburg in Germany, which received 473 reviews is in the second position. It was built in 1689 and was restored in 1914. It has an expansive, lush garden on the banks of Rhine river.

Hotel Castello di Sinioof in Italy is also among the top ten, in the third position. The castle with stunning views was built in 1142 and now offers true oasis of beauty, charm and tasteful décor. Castello di Petroria and Castello di Monternone come next in the list.

Rowton Castle in Shropshire, England, which has a history of 800 years, is placed in the sixth position. It is a small castle but situated in an ideal setting in 17 acres of land. Castle in Clarens in South Africa, placed seventh, offers a fairy tale experience for its guests.

Chateau Heralec in Czech Republic is in the eighth position, which was built in 13th century with 20 rooms for premier guests. Ashford Castle in Ireland, in the ninth position, was originally built in 1228. Castle Durrow in Ireland is in the 10th position, built in the early 1700s.
