TriQuint Semiconductor Profit Tops Estimate, Outlook Strong; Stock Up 5%

(RTTNews) - TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (TQNT) Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $26.2 million or $0.14 per share compared with $13.6 million or $0.08 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.28 per share compared with $0.16 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $272 million compared with $250.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.24 per share on revenues of $261.3 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Gross margin for the quarter rose to 45.5% from 36.8% a year ago.

Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the company expects earnings of $0.40 to $0.45 per share on revenues of $330 million to $340 million. Analysts expect earnings of $0.35 per share on revenues of $313.9 million.
