U.S. Bancorp Leaders Receive "Most Powerful Women in Banking” Accolades for Fifth Consecutive Year

U.S. Banker magazine, a SourceMedia publication, has recognized U.S. Bancorp in its annual "Most Powerful Women in Banking” issue, due out in October 2010. A 32-year veteran of U.S. Bancorp was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, three individuals were honored as "Most Powerful Women in Banking” or "Women to Watch,” and for the fifth year in a row, U.S. Bancorp’s team of 64 women leaders ranked among the Top Banking Teams for 2010.

Diane Thormodsgard, who retired from U.S. Bancorp in July as vice chairman of wealth management and securities services, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Pamela Joseph, vice chairman of payment services, ranked 5th on the list of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking. Leslie Godridge, executive vice president of national corporate and institutional banking, ranked 12th and Lynn Heitman, senior vice president of retail payment solutions ranked 18th among the 25 Women to Watch.

"I am continually impressed by the dedication and hard work of the women leaders at this company, and it’s no surprise to me or any of our colleagues at U.S. Bancorp that our team of outstanding women is receiving this recognition for the fifth year in a row,” said Richard Davis, chairman, president and chief executive officer of U.S. Bancorp. "They have been an instrumental part of making this company great, and I’m proud of them for all they do.”
