UPDATE ON THE INTERIM RESULTS
FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2016

Reference is made to the interim results announcement for the six months ended 30 June 2016 (the "Interim Results Announcement”) dated 25 August 2016, the announcement dated 30 August 2016 regarding the update on the interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2016 (the "Update Announcement”) and the interim report 2016 dated 25 August 2016 and despatched on 8 September 2016 (the "Interim Report”) of United Company RUSAL Plc (the "Company”). Unless otherwise specified, capitalised terms in this announcement shall have the same meanings as the defined terms in the Interim Results Announcement.

As mentioned in the Update Announcement, on 29 August 2016, Norilsk Nickel published its first half 2016 interim consolidated IFRS financial results ("Norilsk Nickel Financial Statements”) on its own website. The management of the Company reviewed the Norilsk Nickel Financial Statements and expressed the view that they have no impact on the Company’s published consolidated interim condensed financial information as at and for the six months ended 30 June 2016 (as disclosed in the Interim Results Announcement).

On 9 September 2016, the board of directors of the Company has duly re-approved the consolidated interim condensed financial information as at and for the six months ended 30 June 2016 which was contained in the Interim Results Announcement and the Interim Report. On 9 September 2016, the Company’s auditor, JSC KPMG, provided an unqualified conclusion in its Independent Auditors’ Report on review of the consolidated interim condensed financial information of the Company as at and for the six months ended 30 June 2016. As the unqualified conclusion was provided by JSC KPMG subsequent to the finalisation of the Interim Report, the Company would like to remind its shareholders that the qualified conclusion as set out on page 44 of the Interim Report is no longer applicable.
