UTC Appoints Nicole Parent Haughey as Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development

HARTFORD, Conn., July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) has appointed Nicole Parent Haughey as Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Development, with responsibility for optimizing the Corporation's global business portfolio and capital deployment strategies to drive growth.  Haughey will report to Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Gregory Hayes, and succeeds Matthew Bromberg, who has been named President, Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket.

In her new role, Haughey will assume responsibility for the Corporation's strategic planning and business development function and will collaborate with business unit leadership to develop strategies to expand UTC's investments in emerging markets and leverage the vital megatrends of urbanization and commercial air travel.

Most recently Haughey was a Managing Partner at Vertical Research Partners LLC, an independent equity research firm she co-founded in December 2009.  From 2004 to 2009, she served as Managing Director, Institutional Research and Global Sector Head, Capital Goods Equity Research at Credit Suisse.  Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Haughey held a variety of institutional research roles at organizations including the New York Stock Exchange, Inc., Salomon Smith Barney and the former Banc of America Securities, LLC.
