Varian and BrainLAB Announce Rapid Uptake of Powerful and Versatile Radiosurgery Platform

PALO ALTO, Calif. and MUNICH, Germany, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Varian Medical Systems and BrainLAB AG are today announcing that they have booked fourteen orders for the new Novalis Tx(TM) radiosurgical platform, which combines the most successful technologies from both companies to offer superior noninvasive treatment options for patients. The orders for the Novalis Tx platform, which was launched in September 2007, include 10 in the United States and four in Europe.

Novalis Tx offers a wide range of treatment options for a large number of indications, including malignant and benign lesions, brain metastases, arteriovascular malformations, and functional lesions.
