VMware Inc. Q4 Earnings Rise 14%

(RTTNews) - VMware Inc. (VMW) announced a profit for its fourth quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $534 million, or $1.26 per share. This was up from $467 million, or $1.08 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.25 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 10.0% to $1.87 billion. This was up from $1.70 billion last year.
