Wachovia Announces $25,000 Donation to Red Cross for Flood Recovery Efforts
Wachovia announced that the Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation is contributing $25,000 to the American Red Cross in Nashville to support disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of recent catastrophic flooding. The donation will help support local emergency initiatives providing food, shelter and mental health counseling for those impacted by the flooding.
"Our hearts go out to our friends, neighbors and customers whose lives have been turned upside down by the flooding,” said Wendy Lawrence, community bank president for Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company. "Through the Red Cross and its volunteers, we know they will receive excellent assistance. We truly appreciate their efforts.”

Wachovia or Wells Fargo customers affected by the flooding should contact their banker or visit their nearest Wachovia or Wells Fargo store to discuss financial options. The company will work one-on-one with its customers to explore case-by-case assistance. Customers can also call Wachovia 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-800-WACHOVIA (1-800-922-4684).
