Why Itron Stock Battled Back From a Big Sell-Off Today

Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) stock managed to narrowly close out Tuesday's trading in the green despite big sell-offs early in the session. The company's share price ended the day's trading up 0.1% but had been off as much as 9.7% early in the day. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 ended the day down 0.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite closed out the session down 0.9%. Itron posted its first-quarter results before the market opened today, and investors initially had a harshly negative reaction to the company's quarterly print and forward guidance.
