Wintrust Financial Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Wintrust Financial Corp (WTFC) Thursday reported third-quarter net earnings of $40 million or $0.79 per share compared with $35.6 million or $0.71 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were higher at $209.6 million compared with $196.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.78 per share on revenues of $209.2 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter climbed to $151.7 million from $141.8 million last year, while net interest margin fell to 3.46% from 3.57%.

Provision for credit losses for the quarter decreased to $5.9 million from $11 million last year.
