Wolf Magazine Issue One Hits Newstands
LOS ANGELES, July 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Following up the groundbreaking Issue Zero, Wolf Magazine continues its assault on newsstands with Issue One. Wolf Magazine shines a light on the previously obscure and near extinct facet of both still and cinematic photography - the personal and unfiltered work of the artist. The magazine is an homage to the independent photographer who fears no opinion. This philosophy was key to reaching the global creative community in the most honest way.

Wolf Magazine is a collaboration between photography visionaries, including Jarred Land, Executive Managing Editor Tony Jay, and Art Director deBranne Treu.
"The years of succumbing to the traditional 'rules' have trampled the artist within the photographer. Our goal is to stoke those embers within both the well established photographer as well as inspire a new generation of artists," says Jarred Land, Editor-in-Chief. "Wolf Magazine wants to set the tone for a more organic visual expression. One that is authentic, raw, and unfiltered."
Tony Jay, a veteran to the fashion and photography industry for over 20 years adds: "We live in times of constant change and on the front lines of emerging technology. We have pushed the boundaries of communication in the process of producing this Issue One. I am very proud to say that I see for the first time, a path towards true artistic expression and how the freedom to create leads to the manifestation of dreams."
"In a period of profound changes and challenges, Wolf presents ideas that will bring a new perspective and authenticity to the world of photography and fashion," says Treu, a fashion industry veteran who is also the cover of Issue One. "I'm thrilled to be part of an effort that gives artists a blank canvas to explore both still and motion – and to break some rules in the process."
With an aggressive edge that taps into the experimental side of photography, Wolf explores the unsung corner of modern and personal artistic imagery, the one untainted by commercialism and homogenization. This is what separates Wolf from a pack of publications that demand perfectly manicured and manipulated images that bastardize reality.
deBranne Treu adorns the cover of Issue One. "With her incredible range and passion as an artist, designer, and model, deBranne was not only the perfect choice - but the only choice for the cover of Issue One," continues Land. "After all, she was my inspiration to form Wolf in the first place."
