World Fuel Services Profit Tops Estimates - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - World Fuel Services Corp. (INT), a fuel logistics company, Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $51 million or $0.71 per share, up from $48.6 million or $0.68 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $57.5 million or $0.80 per share, compared with $53 million or $0.74 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were higher at $10.48 billion, compared with $9.6 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.66 per share on revenues of $10.31 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's stock closed Wednesday at $38.74, up $0.45 or 1.18%, on a volume of 694 thousand shares on the NYSE. In after hours, the stock gained $0.04 or 0.10%.
