Yum! Brands Q1 Profit Tops Estimate

(RTTNews) - Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM) reported net income for the first quaretr of $362 million or $0.81 per share, compared to $399 million or $0.87 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the latest quarter were $0.80 per share.

Total revenue for the first quarter fell 4% to $2.62 billion from $2.72 billion in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.72 per share on revenue of $2.64 billion for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company maintained its full year guidance of at least 10% EPS growth in 2015.
