Zurich’s Daniel Riordan named among 100 Most Influential People in Corporate Governance
Daniel Riordan, president of Zurich North America Commercial’s Specialty Products business, has been named one of the "100 Most Influential People in Corporate Governance” by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
The fourth annual NACD "Directorship 100” is a "combination of leading corporate directors, corporate governance practitioners and public policy leaders who are recognized as the most influential people in the boardroom and the corporate governance arena,” according to the NACD.
Riordan was named in the "D&O Insurers, Governance Advisors” category.
"I am honored to be recognized alongside a number of Zurich’s peers in the insurance industry, as well as leaders across the business and governance spectrum,” Riordan said.
Riordan joined Zurich in 1997 to establish and manage the Political Risk and Trade Credit business. Zurich is now a leading provider of political risk and medium-term trade credit insurance in the global marketplace. In 2008, Riordan was named head of Zurich’s Surety, Trade Credit, and Political Risk business. He was named to his current role as President of Specialty Products in early 2010.
Riordan is a member of the Management Committee of the Berne Union and is a board member of the U.S.-Russia Business Council. He is also a member of the Institute of International Finance, the Institute for International Economics and is on the board of the Surety and Fidelity Association of American (SFAA).
"This honor is an indication that Dan is as well-respected throughout our industry as he is by his peers and colleagues here at Zurich,” said Mike Foley, CEO of Zurich North America Commercial. "We congratulate him for being recognized among some of the most influential business leaders of 2010.”
