ACE Limited -- Moody's rates ACE Limited shelf; ACE INA Holdings' provisional senior debt at (P)A3; outlook stable

New York, January 23, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has assigned provisional ratings to the multi-issuer/multi-seniority shelf of ACE Limited (NYSE: ACE), including ACE INA Holdings (provisional senior and subordinated unsecured debt at (P)A3 and (P)Baa1, respectively) and ACE Capital Trusts III & IV (provisional trust preferred securities at (P)Baa1), based on an unconditional and irrevocable guarantee provided by ACE Limited. This new shelf registration statement, filed on December 10, 2014, replaces ACE's previous shelf registration statement filed on December 14, 2011. The company maintains its shelf registration for general corporate purposes, which may include repayment of indebtedness, expansion of its net underwriting capacity and acquisitions. The outlook for the ratings is stable.
