America Movil S.A.B. de C.V. -- Moodys: America Movil's ratings unaffected by announcement to reduce market participation to a non-preponderant position in Mexico's telecom sector

Mexico, July 15, 2014 -- Moody's: On July 8th, America Movil announced the decision by its board of directors to reduce participation in Mexico's telecom sector. The realignment will eliminate regulatory limitations imposed by predominant player constraints recently enacted, which would otherwise negatively impact operations. On the other hand, America Movil will face execution risk as it realigns its business model and divest assets in Mexico, its most profitable market. America Movil's A2 and A3 senior unsecured domestic and foreign currency ratings and stable outlook remain unchanged.
