Mexico, June 10, 2016 -- Moody's de Mexico has confirmed the Ba1 long-term global local and foreign currency deposit ratings of Banco Azteca, S.A. (Azteca) with a stable outlook. Moody's has also confirmed the bank's ba3 baseline credit assessment (BCA) and adjusted BCA, its Baa3(cr) and Prime-3(cr) long- and short-term counterparty risk assessments, and its Mexican national scale short term local currency deposit rating of MX-2. Azteca's long-term Mexican national scale local currency deposit rating has been downgraded to A1.mx from Aa3.mx.
