Cook (County of) IL -- Moody's affirms Cook County's (IL) A1 rating; outlook remains negative
New York, December 18, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service has affirmed Cook County's (IL) A1 General Obligation (GO) rating. Debt service on the county's outstanding GO debt is secured by its GO unlimited tax pledge. The county has $3.5 billion in GO debt and $114 million in unrated sales tax debt outstanding.
