Moody's assigns definitive ratings to Prime RMBS issued by Sequoia Mortgage Trust 2017-1
New York, January 20, 2017 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") has assigned definitive ratings to the classes of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) issued by Sequoia Mortgage Trust (SEMT) 2017-1. The certificates are backed by one pool of prime quality, first-lien mortgage loans. The assets of the trust consist of 460 fully amortizing, fixed rate mortgage loans. All loans, except one, have an original term to maturity of 30 years. The borrowers in the pool have high FICO scores, significant equity in their properties and liquid cash reserves.
