Moody's: FDIC's most recent guidance should improve the credit quality of marketplace loans
New York, October 31, 2016 -- The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's (FDIC) most recent proposed risk management practices for banks that lend through third-party relationships would strengthen bank oversight of marketplace lenders and, in turn, the credit quality of loans originated on their behalf, Moody's Investors Service says in a new report. The new recommendations are a more detailed rendering of the FDIC's previous guidance.
