Moody's: Loan leverage in US conduit CMBS falls for first time since 2013
New York, April 20, 2016 -- The credit quality of US conduit/fusion commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) as measured by Moody's loan to value (MLTV) ratio improved during the first three months of this year, Moody's Investors Service says in its latest quarterly report on US CMBS. The MLTV ratio declined to 118.1% in the first quarter of 2016 from 118.9% the prior quarter, the first decrease since the beginning of 2013. Conduit loan leverage nevertheless remains slightly above the pre-crisis peak MLTV of 117.5%.
