Toronto, December 15, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service (Moody's) announced today that the proposal to amalgamate Caisse centrale Desjardins du Quebec into the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec (the Fédération) on 1 January 2017 will not, in and of itself, result in a reduction, placement on review for possible downgrade or withdrawal of the ratings of any covered bonds issued by Caisse centrale Desjardins under its Global Covered Bond Programme.
