New York, February 10, 2015 -- North American high-yield bond covenant quality declined sharply in January, returning to the record-low level of protection that characterized fall's bond issues, the rating agency says in a new report. Issuance was light for a second consecutive month, but an average monthly covenant quality score of 4.41 for January suggests that December's improved score of 3.78 was an aberration.
