GE Promotes Dan Janki to CFO of GE Energy and Trevor Schauenberg to VP of Corporate Investor Communications
GE (NYSE: GE) today promoted Dan Janki, 40, to chief financial officer
(CFO) of GE Energy, and Trevor Schauenberg, 39, to vice president of
Corporate Investor Communications.
Janki, GE’s former vice president of Corporate
Investor Communications, succeeds Tom Saddlemire, who is retiring after
a distinguished 38-year GE career. Janki will report to John Krenicki,
president and CEO of GE Energy. His promotion is effective July 14, 2008.
"Dan has done an excellent job expanding the
role of our investor relations function,” GE
CFO Keith Sherin said. "He increased our
global reach and has been an effective advocate for investors inside the
Company. He is a valued advisor both internally and externally. With his
leadership skills, financial expertise and knowledge of the business,
Dan will be a great asset to GE Energy,”
Sherin said.
"Tom Saddlemire has been an exceptional CFO at
GE Energy, as well as a trusted advisor and strategist for the team,”
Krenicki said. "It is testament to the Company’s
management system that his successor is someone of the caliber and
experience of Dan Janki. We look forward to Dan joining the leadership
team and helping us grow our Energy business around the world.”
Janki began his career with GE in 1992 in the Financial Management
Program and subsequently joined the GE Audit staff. He has held a number
of senior finance positions within the Company, including CFO of GE
Equity, CFO of GE Money-Americas and on the corporate staff of former
Vice Chairman Dennis Dammerman.
Janki holds a bachelor of finance and accounting degree from The Ohio
State University.
Schauenberg, GE’s former CFO of Capital
Solutions, has been promoted to the senior investor relations position.
Schauenberg will report to CFO Keith Sherin and will start in his new
role on July 14, 2008.
Schauenberg has been with GE for seventeen years, holding a variety of
global finance leadership positions. Prior to Capital Solutions, he was
CFO at GE Transportation and in a number of former GE insurance
businesses in Europe. Schauenberg started in GE’s
Financial Management Program and completed five and a half years in
Audit before moving into his management roles.
"Trevor understands how this company works,
both from a financial and operations perspective,”
said Sherin. "He is an excellent communicator
and a clear thinker. His experience and skills will help us connect our
strategy and performance with shareholders and financial analysts,”
said Sherin.
Schauenberg holds a bachelor of finance degree from The University of
Iowa.
