Australia Wage Price Data Due On Wednesday
(RTTNews) - Australia will on Wednesday release Q1 numbers for wage prices and home loans, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Wages are expected to have risen 0.8 percent on quarter and 3.3 percent on year after adding 0.8 percent on quarter and 3.4 percent on year in the previous three months. Home loans jumped 10.6 percent three months earlier.
Japan will provide March numbers for its current account and April results for bank lending and for the eco watchers current index. The current account is expected to show a surplus of 3.879 trillion yen, down from 3.933 trillion yen in February. Bank lending is seen higher by an annual 4.6 percent, easing from 4.8 percent in March. The eco index is pegged at 41.5, down from 42.2 a month earlier.
South Korea will release unemployment data for April; in March, the jobless rate was 2.7 percent.
