Belgium Consumer Confidence Rebounds In October
(RTTNews) - Belgium's consumer confidence recovered in October after deteriorating in the previous month, mainly due to less pessimism over the economic outlook, survey results from the National Bank of Belgium showed Tuesday.
The consumer confidence index rose to -8 from -10 in September. In August, the reading was -6.
The index showing household expectations over the country's economic situation for the next twelve months climbed to -6 after tumbling to -10 in the previous month.
Consumers' assessment of their financial situation was unchanged and the measure stood unchanged at -3. The index reflecting their view on the savings capacity also held steady in October, at -1.
Households' expectations regarding the unemployment situation improved as the corresponding index declined to 21 from 28.
