BRAZIL: Economists Keep 2017 GDP Growth Estimate Unchanged At 0.73%

(RTTNews) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank kept their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 unchanged at 0.73% for the fourth week in a row. For 2018, the median estimate for GDP growth rose to 2.51%, after remaining at 2.50% for four straight weeks.

Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 was unchanged at 52.30%, while for 2018 forecasts decreased to 55.71%, from 55.81% last week.

Projections for the Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 rose to 2.00%, from 1.96% a week earlier, while for 2018 the median forecast increased from 2.73% to 2.96%.
