China Manufacturing PMI On Tap For Thursday
(RTTNews) - China will on Thursday see preliminary May results for the manufacturing PMI from HSBC, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
The index is expected to show a score of 48.3 - up from 48.1 in April but still below the line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Japan will see preliminary May numbers for the manufacturing PMI from Markit Economics; in April, the index had a score of 49.4.
Hong Kong will announce inflation data for April; in March, consumer prices were up 3.9 percent on year.
Australia will release consumer inflation expectations for May; in April, the forecast called for CPI at 2.4 percent.
New Zealand will see May figures for consumer confidence from ANZ; in April, the index added 1.1 percent on month to a score of 133.5.
