COLOMBIA: Duque Leads Polls With 40% Voting Intention

(RTTNews) - The candidate of the right-wing Democratic Center, Ivan Duque, leads the voting intention for the Colombian presidential elections with 40% of the preferences, according to a YanHaas survey hired by the Media Alliance (RCN Radio, RCN Television, La F.m., La Rep?blica and Periadicos Asociados - the newspapers El Paes, El Universal, El Colombiano and Vanguardia Liberal).

Duque is tracked by the former mayor of Bogot? Gustavo Petro, with 24% of the voting intention. Only Duque and the leftist leader Petro are ahead of the blank vote, intended by 13% of the respondents.

The survey is the first one conducted after the legislative elections, won by right-wing parties. The margin of error mentioned by the poller is of 2.8 percentage points above or below.

Sergio Fajardo, the candidate of the Coalition Colombia (Democratic Pole and Green Alliance), follows with 9%, while Germ?n Vargas Lleras, supported by Cambio Radical, appears with 6%. Humberto de la Calle (Partido Liberal) has a 2% voting intentions, while Viviane Morales (Partido Somos) and the former Senator Piedad Cardoba were mentioned by 1% each.
