Eurozone Construction Production Falls Slightly In November

(RTTNews) - Eurozone construction output fell slightly in November, after rising in the previous month, figures from Eurostat showed Monday.

Production in construction dropped 0.1 percent monthly in November, in contrast to a 1.1 percent increase in October, which was revised from 1.3 percent. In September, output dropped 1.1 percent.

Output in the building sector slid 0.2 percent in November from last month and the civil engineering activity dropped 0.1 percent.

On an annual basis, construction production grew at a faster rate by 2.2 percent during November, after a 0.3 percent rise seen in October, revised from 1.4 percent increase.

In the EU 28, construction output fell 0.2 percent month-on-month in November, reversing a 0.5 percent climb in the preceding month, which was revised up from a 0.4 percent rise.

Year-on-year, construction production advanced for the second straight month in November, up by 2.5 percent, following a 0.7 percent increase in October.

Among EU states, Spain, Sweden and Hungary logged the largest annual growth in construction output, while Slovenia, Italy, Portugal and Slovakia registered the biggest declines.
