Indonesia GDP On Tap For Thursday
(RTTNews) - Indonesia will on Thursday release gross domestic product figures for the fourth quarter of 2014, highlighting a busy day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
GDP is expected to fall 1.5 percent on quarter and gain 4.9 percent on year after gaining 2.96 percent on quarter and 5.01 percent on year in the previous three months.
Taiwan will provide January numbers for consumer and wholesale prices. CPI is expected to add 0.3 percent on year after gaining 0.61 percent in December. WPI is tipped to fall an annual 5.15 percent after shedding 4.2 percent in the previous month.
Australia will see December numbers for consumer prices, with analysts looking for a seasonally adjusted increase of 0.3 percent on month following the 0.1 percent gain in November. Q4 sales are expected to climb 1.1 percent on quarter after rising 1.0 percent in the third quarter.
The Philippines will release January numbers for consumer prices and December figures for producer prices. CPI in December was down 0.1 percent on month and up 2.7 percent on year, while PPI dipped 0.1 percent on month and 0.6 percent on year in November.
Thailand will see January results for its consumer confidence index; in December, the index had a score of 70.5.
