Irish Unemployment Rate Falls To 5.0%
(RTTNews) - Ireland's jobless rate decreased slightly in October, preliminary data from the Central Statistics Office showed on Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate came in at 5.0 percent in October, down from 5.1 percent in September, which was the highest rate since December 2021.
In the corresponding month last year, the jobless rate was 4.2 percent.
The seasonally adjusted number of unemployed fell to 147,400 in October from 149,100 in September. A year ago, it was 120,600.
The youth unemployment rate, which applies to the 15-24 age group, rose marginally to 13.4 percent from 13.3 percent.
