Moldova Inflation Slows Sharply In July
(RTTNews) - Moldova's inflation slowed to its lowest level in four months in July, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Monday.
The consumer price index rose 4.3 percent year-on-year, after a 5.5 percent increase in June. The latest figure is the lowest since March, when inflation was 4.2 percent.
Month-on-month, prices fell for the second month in a row, down 1 percent, following June's 0.5 percent decline.
Food prices fell 1.5 percent from June, while non-food prices edged up 0.1 percent. Service costs also grew 0.1 percent.
