New Zealand Credit Card Spending Falls 0.3% In December
(RTTNews) - Overall credit card spending in New Zealand was down a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent on month in December, Statistics New Zealand said on Wednesday.
That was in line with forecasts and followed the downwardly revised 0.4 percent decline in November (originally -0.3 percent).
Retail credit card spending eased 0.1 percent on month - missing expectations for a gain of 0.1 percent following the downwardly revised 0.2 percent contraction in the previous month (originally -0.1 percent).
Transactions in the core retail industries gained 0.1 percent.
