New Zealand Inflation On Tap For Tuesday

(RTTNews) - New Zealand will on Tuesday release Q3 figures for consumer prices, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Inflation is expected to be flat on quarter and up 0.1 percent on year after gaining 0.4 percent both on quarter and on year in the three months prior.

The Reserve Bank of Australia will release the minutes from its monetary policy meeting on October 4.

At the meeting, the RBA decided to keep the benchmark lending rate unchanged at 1.50 percent after reducing the rate by 25 basis points in both August and May.

Australia also will see September figures for new motor vehicle sales; in August, sales were up 0.1 percent on month and 2.9 percent on year.
