New Zealand PPI Inputs Climb 2.9% In Q2
(RTTNews) - New Zealand producer price inputs were up 2.9 percent on quarter in the second quarter of 2026, Statistics New Zealand said on Wednesday.
That exceeded expectations for an increase of 1.3 percent and was up from 1.4 percent in the previous quarter. The biggest gainers were utilities, road transport and railways.
PPI outputs rose 1.6 percent on quarter, again beating forecasts for a gain of 0.8 percent, which would have been unchanged. He biggest gainers were utilities, dairy manufacturing and road transport.
The farm expenses price index (FEPI) rose 3.8 percent on quarter, while the capital goods price index (CGPI) rose 1.8 percent.
