Norway's April Jobless Rate At 3.3%

(RTTNews) - Norway's unemployment rate declined in April, the latest labor force survey data from Statistics Norway showed Thursday.

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate came in at 3.3 percent in April, down from 3.5 percent in January. However, the change was within the error margin, the statistical office said.

Economists had forecast a rate of 3.4 percent. There were 90,000 unemployed persons in April.

The April figure indicates the average of March to May period and the rate for January reflects December to February period.

The seasonally-adjusted figure of employed persons increased by 8,000 from January to April. This increase was also within the error margin.
