Singapore Trade Data On Tap For Monday
(RTTNews) - Singapore will on Monday release October figures for imports, exports and trade balance, highlighting a busy day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
In September, imports were worth SGD41.00 billion and exports were at SGD44.87 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of SGD3.87 billion.
Thailand will provide gross domestic product numbers for the third quarter of 2013; in Q2, GDP was down 0.3 percent on quarter and up 2.8 percent on year.
South Korea will see October data for producer prices; in September, PPI was down 0.1 percent on month and 1.8 percent on year.
Hong Kong will provide unemployment figures for October; in September, the unemployment rate was 3.3 percent.
Japan will release Q3 data for housing loans, as well as October numbers for Tokyo condominium sales and department store sales. Housing loans were up 3.2 percent on year in Q2, while condo sales surged 77.3 percent in September. Tokyo department store sales were up 3.6 percent in September, while nationwide sales added an annual 2.8 percent.
