Spain Home Mortgages Fall In April
(RTTNews) - Spain home mortgage approvals declined in April, a report from the statistical office INE showed Thursday.
The total number of mortgages approved for house purchase fell 13.4 percent year-on-year to 15,326 in April. Approvals dropped 7.8 percent in April compared to the previous month.
In March, approvals rose 2 percent annually and 1.2 percent on a monthly basis, according to INE.
In April, the amount lent slid 8 percent year-on-year and 9.6 percent on month. The average value of home loans grew 6.2 percent annually to GBP 100,394 during the month.
