21Vianet Group Q2 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Chinese IT services provider 21Vianet Group. Inc (VNET) posted second-quarter net loss to shareholders of RMB 62.2 million or $10.0 million, wider than RMB 42.6 million in the prior year.

Loss per American Depositary Share, or ADS, for the quarter was RMB 0.96 or $0.15, compared with earnings per ADS of RMB 0.72 last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were RMB 20.5 million or $3.3 million, compared with RMB 18.5 million a year. Adjusted earnings per ADS were RMB 0.30 or $0.05, compared with RMB 0.30 a year ago.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.59 per ADS for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter climbed 39.7% to RMB 658.02 million or $106.07 million from RMB 471.10 million last year. Analysts projected revenues of $644.46 million.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company expects revenues of RMB 777 million to RMB 813 million, representing about 55 percent growth year over year at the midpoint.

For fiscal 2014, the company now expects revenues of RMB 600 million to RMB 630 million, representing about 68% growth over 2013 at the midpoint. Earlier, the company expected fiscal 2014 revenues of RMB .71 billion to RMB 2.85 billion.
