Abbott Announces New $3 Bln Stock Buyback Program
(RTTNews) - Abbott Laboratories (ABT) said Thursday that its board of directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $3 billion of the company's common shares.
The new authorization is in addition to the $511 million unused portion of the previous program that was announced in June 2013.
The company also said its board has declared a quarterly common dividend of $0.22 per share, payable on November 15 to shareholders of record on October 15.
