The Walker order consists of OmniReach(TM)ACE Fiber Distribution Hubs (FDHs), Multi-Port Service Terminals(MSTs), hardened connectors and drop cables, and FDH 3000 miniplug-and-play splitter modules.

"We are pleased to report this important order from Walker andAssociates, as they are featuring our most innovative productofferings and allowing their customers to purchase them first," saidTom Kampf, vice president, FTTX Product Management for ADC. "Theseproducts allow customers to future-proof their networks, giving themroom to grow and meet the diverse needs of fiber subscribers."

The OmniReach products Walker and Associates have ordered include:

-- OmniReach ACE Fiber Distribution Hubs (ACE FDHs) that enable high optical line terminal (OLT) efficiency and physical layer access to fibers within the feeder and distribution network. Serving neighborhoods and housing developments from 32 to 864 homes, the ACE series cabinets incorporate key features that ensure long-term reliability, flexibility and operational cost savings within the central office (CO).

-- OmniReach Multi-Port Service Terminals (MSTs) that provide for simplified subscriber connections from the Passive Optic Network (PON) distribution cable to the drop cable connecting to the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) at the home. These terminals incorporate hardened connector technology designed to withstand the rugged outside plant environment. These hardened connectors are uniquely designed, factory-terminated and environmentally sealed for use in drop cable deployments in optical access networks.

-- OmniReach Hardened Connectors and Drop Cables that are environmentally robust to provide a reliable interface for fiber drop cables in the outside plant environment. At the same time, the hardened connector approach dramatically reduces splicing labor requirements. The rugged optical connector is hardened to protect against extreme temperature, moisture, UV, chemical exposure and other harsh conditions typically found in the outside plant.

-- Newly released OmniReach FDH 3000 "Mini Plug-and-Play" Splitter Modules that enable flexible optical fiber cabling deployment to a subscriber's residence, enterprise or other location. These modules are highly flexible and are designed to meet the requirements of a diverse range of customers. The OmniReach FDH 3000 is the industry's first infrastructure cabling cabinet designed to meet the unique requirements of independent carriers, utilities and municipalities. Designed for operational efficiency and scalability, the OmniReach FDH 3000 provides for rapid connection between fiber optic cables and passive optical splitters in the outside plant, facilitating fast service connection and reconfiguration. The solution simplifies fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) network installation, maintenance and management from the central office to the outside plant.

"We are continuing to see an increasing number of requests fromour customers for products associated with the delivery of fiber tothe home," said Lisa Smiley, vice president, Marketing, for Walker andAssociates. "In addition, we are seeing an increased same-day demandfor MSTs and other access network solutions, as well as drops andsplitter modules. For these reasons, we recognize the importance ofour commitment to maintain a stocking position of a full complement ofADC OmniReach products. This will allow us to meet existing and newcustomers' expectations to provide them with immediate access to thoseproducts."
