Additional Public Hearings Announced for Northgate's Kemess North Project
Northgate Minerals Corporation (TSX: NGX)(AMEX: NXG) confirmed today
that the Joint Federal-Provincial Environmental Review Panel for the
Kemess North Project has announced additional public hearings on the
Project to take place from May 14 to 17, 2007, in Smithers, British
Columbia. The public hearings are being held to "obtain additional
information from First Nations" and to "provide an opportunity to other
parties who may wish to provide final submissions to the Panel."
Upon close of the public hearings, the Panel's terms of reference
require them to submit their final report on the Kemess North Project to
the Federal and Provincial Ministers within 60 days.
