AFLAC Inc Q2 Income Climbs

(RTTNews) - AFLAC Inc (AFL) announced a profit for its second quarter that Increases, from the same period last year

The company's earnings totaled $825 million, or $1.63 per share. This compares with $599 million, or $1.11 per share, last year.

Excluding items, AFLAC Inc reported adjusted earnings of $883 million or $1.75 per share for the period.

The company's revenue for the period fell 1.0% to $4.117 billion from $4.160 billion last year.
