Alaska Air Group Sept. Traffic, Capacity Rise - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Alaska Air Group Inc. (ALK) Thursday for the month of September, on a combined basis reported a 9.0 percent rise in traffic, on a 9.9 percent increase in capacity, compared with September 2013. As a result load factor was down 0.7 points to 81.9 percent

Combined traffic, measured in revenue passenger miles or RPMs, for the month increased 9.0 percent to 2.4 billion from 2.2 billion last year.

Combined capacity, measured in available seat miles or ASMs, grew 9.9 percent to 2.9 billion from 2.7 billion last year.

Passenger load factor for the month was down to 81.9 percent from 82.6 percent in the same period last year.
