Albemarle Names Ragnar Udd CEO And President

(RTTNews) - Thursday, Albemarle Corp. (ALB) announced the appointment of Ragnar "Rag" Udd as the Chief Executive Officer and President, effective February 1, 2027. Kent Masters, Chairman and CEO, will transition to Executive Chairman of the Board upon Udd joining the company.

Udd currently serves as BHP's Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing sales, marketing, procurement, maritime activities, and commodities strategy. Previously, he held senior roles across commercial, operations, technology, logistics, and infrastructure, including President Americas, where he led BHP's copper and potash businesses.

In the pre-market activity on the NYSE, the shares were trading 2.07 percent lower at $134.91, after closing Wednesday's trading 1.63 percent up.
