Alpharma Branded Products Division Selects Sparta Systems' TrackWise as its Quality Management System

HOLMDEL, N.J., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Sparta Systems, Inc., (Sparta), the maker of TrackWise(R), and the market leader in enterprise quality and compliance process management software, today announced that Alpharma, Inc. , a specialty pharmaceutical company with leadership positions in products for humans and animals, has selected TrackWise as its quality management and regulatory compliance management system.

TrackWise is a web-based management software tool for electronically managing, tracking, and trending quality, regulatory, and organizational compliance processes and action items across the enterprise. TrackWise enables companies to reduce costs and streamline business operations by replacing disparate systems and inefficient paper-based processes with a centralized electronic workflow and reporting system.

Alpharma will initially implement TrackWise to replace its current paper- based systems that are in place for management of deviations, investigations, corrective and preventive actions, equipment tracking, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and other applications. The implementation is scheduled to begin in early March at the Piscataway, NJ facility.
