American Airlines Group November Traffic Increases 4.3%, Capacity Down 0.2%

(RTTNews) - American Airlines Group, Inc. (AAL) reported that its traffic in November 2015 increased 4.3% from the year-ago period, while capacity edged down 0.2%.

Total revenue passenger miles or RPMs for November were 16.9 billion, up 4.3 percent versus the prior-year period. Total capacity was 20.8 billion available seat miles or ASMs, down 0.2 percent compared to last year.

Total passenger load factor was 81.2 percent, up 3.5 percentage points versus November 2014.

The company continues to expect its fourth-quarter 2015 consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile or PRASM to be down about 5 to 7 percent year-over-year. In addition, the company continues to expect its fourth-quarter pretax margin excluding special items to be between 12 and 14 percent.
