Autoliv To Have Two Operating Segments - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Autoliv, Inc. (ALV), a supplier of automotive safety systems, Wednesday reported the launch of a new operating structure, for effectively managing its business operations.

The company said the new structure will be revealed in phases and when finalized, will diverge into two business segments: Passive Safety and Electronics. The Passive Safety product organization will take care of all regional operations with respect to the firm's passive safety products, including airbag and seatbelt products, while the Electronics product organization will include Autoliv's active safety products. Both segments will be effective from September 1.

Further the group noted, as a result of these changes, from January 2015, it will have two operating segments and two reportable segments for financial reporting purposes.
