Axfood Main Partner of Save the Children

Regulatory News:

Axfood (STO:AXFO) is taking its partnership with Save the Children to a new level, becoming one of the organisation’s main partners from spring 2010. Donations will primarily be focused on educational projects for children in countries hit hard by conflict.

"Becoming one of Save the Children’s main partners shows our long-term commitment. We support the charity’s crucial work in protecting the right of children to enjoy a safe education through the campaign Rewrite the Future in Ivory Coast,” explains Camilla Weiner, Head of Corporate Communications at Axfood.

Activities will be taking place in each of Axfood’s store chains throughout the year.

"We are extremely pleased and proud to see our collaboration with Axfood develop, as they become one of our main partners. This means that we can help even more children gain access to good, safe schooling in Ivory Coast, which is fantastic, since there is still a considerable need in this area,” comments Elisabeth Dahlin, Secretary General of Save the Children in Sweden.

Save the Children’s other main partners are Accenture, Santa Maria, SAS, If, Swedbank Robur, Swedbank, IKEA and Svenska Postkodlotteriet.
